[Sutter Health](https://www.sutterhealth.org/) and [Innovative Renal Care](https://innovativerenal.com/) are officially welcoming patients to their new dialysis center at 12030 Industry Blvd. in Jackson. The Innovative Renal Care Jackson Dialysis Center offers local dialysis services for individuals with kidney disease, including in-center hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis for those with end-stage renal disease. Community nephrologist Adarsh Bhat, M.D. from Summit Nephrology serves as the center’s medical director. The new center provides greater convenience for patients, as previous dialysis locations required considerable travel. Sutter Health and Innovative Renal Care estimated more than 100 Amador County residents with outpatient dialysis needs travel outside the area for care. And with an aging population—the median age in Amador County is 50—that demand for outpatient dialysis could only increase. “Sutter Health is committed to being part of the solution when it comes to increasing access to care for patients,” said Michael Cureton, CEO of Sutter Amador Hospital. “Having an option for this specialized level of care within the community will support an overall better patient experience.” “IRC is pleased to partner with Sutter Health in offering enhanced patient outcomes that contribute to an improved quality of life for patients with end stage renal disease,” added Nick Mendez, CEO of Innovative Renal Care. Twelve in-center stations along with options for peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis offer patients flexibility to choose the type of treatment that best fits their lifestyle.” Innovative Renal Care Jackson Dialysis Center is collaborating with the Amador County Chamber of Commerce to plan a grand opening celebration this fall.
