It is the only Northern California hospital to be named on this year’s list. It is the fifth year that the Amador County hospital, part of Sutter Health’s integrated, not-for-profit network, has been honored by Modern Healthcare as one of the Best Places to Work. “It is an honor once again to be chosen as a Best Places to Work in Healthcare,” said Michael Cureton, CAO of Sutter Amador Hospital. “What makes Sutter Amador Hospital special is the people who work here. We are family, and we know that whether we are providing care at the bedside or helping our facility operate behind the scenes, we all have a part in caring for our patients. Paired with our other awards that we have received recently in quality, this is a testament to what is capable when you work in a hospital that values teamwork and collaboration.” The Best Places to Work in Healthcare award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide, choosing just 75 in the provider/insurer category and another 75 suppliers. Methodology includes evaluating an organization’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. Employee survey results make up the majority of the evaluation, which measure the overall employee experience.
