# Tara Overmiller Named Chief Executive Officer of Sutter Lakeside Hospital

Tara Overmiller, currently CEO of Phillips County Health Systems in Kansas, will lead Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport starting Nov. 16, 2026, bringing rural health care experience.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Sutter Health has named Tara Overmiller chief executive officer of [Sutter Lakeside Hospital](https://www.sutterhealth.org/find-location/facility/sutter-lakeside-hospital-1043247026), effective Nov. 16, 2026. Overmiller brings more than 20 years of health care leadership experience and will oversee hospital operations and strategic growth serving patients throughout Lake County. She will partner closely with Sutter Lakeside’s Chief Medical Executive [Dr. Christina Lasich](http://linkedin.com/in/christina-lasich-md-186661202 "Dr. Christina Lasich") to advance high-quality, coordinated care across the region.

“Tara brings strong rural health care experience and a track record of leading through growth,” said [Christina Oh](https://vitals.sutterhealth.org/sutter-health-names-christina-oh-executive-vice-president-and-chief-operating-officer/), chief operating officer for Sutter Health. “She will be an important part of Sutter Lakeside’s next chapter as we expand care and services in Lake County. We’re excited to welcome her to the team.”

[Overmiller](https://www.linkedin.com/in/taraovermiller "Overmiller") currently serves as CEO of Phillips County Health Systems in northwest Kansas, where she oversees inpatient, emergency, outpatient, rehabilitation, behavioral health, specialty clinic and community health services. During her tenure, she has led initiatives to modernize facilities, strengthen provider recruitment, improve operational performance and position the organization for long-term growth.

> Having grown up in a rural community and spent much of my career in rural healthcare, I know how much it means to have care close to home,” said Overmiller. “I’m honored to join Sutter Lakeside and build on the team’s commitment to compassionate care and strong community relationships. I believe a healthy community extends well beyond the walls of a hospital. I look forward to listening, learning and working alongside our physicians, staff and community leaders to help ensure people throughout Lake County have access to the care and support they need.

Prior to becoming CEO, Overmiller held leadership roles at Phillips County Health Systems, including chief operating officer, chief strategy officer and marketing director. She also served as director of growth and marketing for Midwest Family Health, where she helped advance growth strategies, market expansion efforts and strategic partnerships.

Overmiller earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management and a master’s degree in business administration and leadership from Fort Hays State University. She also holds a Master Business Project Manager certification from Utah State University.
