SANTA CLARA COUNTY (KPIX 5) — Doctors recently spoke exclusively to KPIX 5 about a recent medical mystery involving a Bay Area baby, her mother and what turned out to be a surprising infant case of COVID-19 that may be linked to a rare disease.

Two months ago, as passengers evacuated from the Grand Princess cruise ship in Oakland but before the Bay Area issued any stay-at-home orders, the mystery was unfolding in Santa Clara County
