Telemedicine is “having a moment,” as Dr. Rahul Parikh at Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center put it.

As the COVID-19 outbreak escalates around the country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging health care providers to boost telehealth, and encourage patients to avoid in-person treatment unless it’s a medical emergency.
