SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Twelve Sutter Health ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) have been listed among Newsweek magazine’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2022.
Newsweek partnered with research firm Statista to survey ASC staff, physicians, and leaders. They evaluated more than 4,600 surgery centers, but just the top 470 centers in the 25 states with the most facilities made the list.
Newsweek’s experts and survey participants ranked ASCs based on quality of care, performance data and peer recommendations relative to in-state competition. They also reviewed facilities’ COVID-19 response.
There are more than 800 ASCs in California, but just 83 of them were recognized by Newsweek. Of those 83, 12 of them (or 14 percent) are Sutter Surgery Center Division ASCs. Here are the 12 with their ranking:
- (5) Sutter Health – Surgery Center Mountain View
- (11) Sutter Health – Roseville Endoscopy Center
