Sutter Health is doubling the size of its primary care services in the city of Tracy, officials announced in August. At a ceremonial groundbreaking with city, county, and national government representatives, the health system unveiled plans to transform a former pharmacy chain location. The new facility will offer primary and urgent care, as well as lab and imaging services.

“It’s absolutely imperative for a region and a city that is growing as rapidly as ours is to make sure we have the healthcare facilities right here close to home,” U.S. Rep. Josh Harder from California’s 9th District said at the event.
