The COVID-19 pandemic and Northern California wildfires have added additional layers of stress to our lives. At Sutter Health, we appreciate and honor the commitment of our staff who care for patients, communities and one another everyday, and especially during such a demanding year.

Sutter Health continues to look for new ways to help employees —both professionally and personally —during these difficult times. Our Mental Health & Addiction Care team has explored several resources, including digital platforms that offer easy, anytime access to mental and physical wellbeing exercises, as a means to provide staff with more support.

Beginning in October 2020, we partnered with Quartet Health to offer the Sutter workforce free access to SilverCloud, a suite of self-guided programs that are shown to reduce symptoms of stress, improve sleep and build resilience.

The version of SilverCloud Sutter provided was designed with healthcare professionals in mind. The interactive tools and modules are aimed at helping users identify emotional triggers and develop new, healthier ways to respond. SilverCloud’s evidence-based advice, insight and exercises were created to teach people how to take an active role in thinking and feeling better, for their wellbeing.
