JACKSON, Calif. — National industry publication Modern Healthcare named Sutter Amador Hospital this week as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare in 2022, driven largely by the input of the hospitals’ own employees. It is the only Northern California hospital to be named on this year’s list.
It is the fifth year that the Amador County hospital, part of Sutter Health’s integrated, not-for-profit network, has been honored by Modern Healthcare as one of the Best Places to Work.

The Best Places to Work in Healthcare award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide, choosing just 75 in the provider/insurer category and another 75 suppliers. Methodology includes evaluating an organization’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. Employee survey results make up the majority of the evaluation, which measure the overall employee experience. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process.
