Sutter East Bay Division leaders cut the ceremonial ribbon.
Sutter’s first hotel-based sleep medicine lab based in the East Bay celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, June 9. Located on the 11th floor of the Hilton Garden Inn in Emeryville, the sleep lab features four private testing rooms and expands diagnostic capabilities beyond home sleep testing. The new sleep lab offers a comfortable, hotel-like setting with amenities including high-speed wireless Internet, garage parking, and guest services.
In addition to four patient suites, the Sleep Lab includes two adjacent rooms dedicated to monitoring and diagnostics. Patients will follow up with their provider at a local ambulatory care center for consultations and ongoing care.

According to the National Institutes of Health, about 50 to 70 million Americans have sleep disorders and 1 in 3 adults do not regularly get the recommended amount of uninterrupted sleep needed to protect their health. Poor sleep is linked to chronic conditions such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and depression.
