Community leaders and healthcare executives gathered on Feb. 27 to celebrate Sutter Health’s latest expansion of healthcare services in Morgan Hill. The addition of primary care services at the Morgan Hill Care Center marks a significant step in improving local access to essential medical care.
Mayor Mark Turner and other city officials joined Catherine Krna, Ambulatory CEO of Sutter Health Greater Silicon Valley Division, and Kurt VandeVort, CEO of Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF), along with Sutter Health team members, to commemorate the completion of the facility’s expansion.
“I could not be more excited that Sutter Health is growing in the Morgan Hill community,” Krna said.

Sutter Health Morgan Hill hours of service.
Beginning Monday, March 3, residents of Morgan Hill and surrounding communities gained access to family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and lab blood-draw services at the center, located at 16130 Juan Hernandez Drive. These new offerings complement the MRI, ultrasound, and CT imaging services that launched at the site last fall.
The 9,950-square-foot facility is part of Sutter Health’s broader strategy to enhance healthcare accessibility across Northern California. The expansion brings Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group (PAFMG) physicians to the Morgan Hill community, reducing the need for patients to travel to other locations such as San Jose, Los Gatos, Mountain View, and Santa Cruz to see their doctors.
“Access to high-quality, innovative healthcare – and the clinicians who provide it – is critically important,” VandeVort said. “Many residents of Morgan Hill and the surrounding communities have had to travel to see our (PAFMG) doctors in San Jose, Los Gatos, Mountain View and Santa Cruz. Now, we are very excited to have this new capacity to serve the Morgan Hill community: to make healthcare more convenient for patients and bring primary care services closer to home.”
The addition of primary care and pediatric services ensures that individuals and families have access to comprehensive, local healthcare options without the burden of long commutes. The care center’s growing range of outpatient and diagnostic services aligns with Sutter Health’s commitment to delivering patient-centered care in underserved and growing communities.

Healthcare executives and government and city officials, gather around the mayor of Morgan Hill to cut the ribbon at the opening of the new Morgan Hill care center.
“We look forward to continued partnership with the city as we grow our healthcare services here to enhance the quality of life for Morgan Hill residents,” Krna added.
With the expansion in Morgan Hill, Sutter Health continues its mission to build a stronger, more accessible healthcare network in Greater Silicon Valley and beyond. Over the coming years, the organization plans to extend services further into Northern California, ensuring that more communities benefit from state-of-the-art medical care close to home.
