SAN FRANCISCO (May 23, 2025) – Sutter Health today announced that Dr. Anup Singh has been named the new Chief Medical Executive at Sutter’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco. Together, we’ll continue pursuing excellence and improving patient outcomes every day.”
At CPMC, residents and fellows train with physician mentors at the top of their fields in nationally renowned, accredited Graduate Medical Education programs across specialty areas of medicine including: advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, gastroenterology, hand surgery, hematology-oncology, ophthalmology, pulmonary and critical care medicine, psychiatry and transplant hepatology. Under the leadership of Dr. Singh, Sutter will continue to strengthen its commitment to training future clinicians while supporting the exceptional physicians and physician leaders at CPMC who are driving high-quality, evidence-based care.
Prior to joining Sutter Health, Dr. Singh served at Lenox Hill Hospital (Northwell Health) in New York City, where he was the associate program director of the pulmonary critical care fellowship and director of the non-CF bronchiectasis program. Passionate about medical education, he has also taught bedside critical care ultrasound nationally through the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP).
Dr. Singh earned his medical degree from Government Medical College in Chandigarh, India, and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northshore-LIJ Hospital in New York. He also holds an MBA in Healthcare and an MS in Healthcare Policy from Cornell University. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care.
