Sutter Health has been named to Reputation’s 800 and 900 Awards lists for 2025 — a recognition of exceptional patient satisfaction and trust across our care centers and physician network. This year’s results reflect a 712% increase in high-performing providers and locations compared to last year.

“The patient experience extends beyond the exam room,” said Jennifer Bollinger, SVP, Chief Consumer & Brand Officer. “From online scheduling to in-person visits, we’re working to make every touchpoint easy, thoughtful and connected.”

2025 Highlights

  • 800 Award: 1,013 Sutter clinicians and 33 care centers received Reputation Scores between 800–899, recognizing strong, consistent patient satisfaction across a wide range of services and locations.
  • 900 Award: 30 Sutter clinicians earned elite Reputation Scores between 900–925 — a mark achieved by fewer than 1% of rated locations across all industries.
  • Significant momentum: These honors reflect an intentional systemwide focus on feedback, service and ease — fueled by expanded review outreach, broader physician participation and more than 20,000 positive patient comments in the first quarter of 2025 alone.

What’s Driving the Improvement

  • Online scheduling growth: Patients booked 865,000 more appointments through My Health Online year over year, with more than 26% of all visits now scheduled online — from labs to routine care — improving access and easing staff workloads.
  • Streamlined referrals: A redesigned referral process launched in late 2024 led to a 22% increase in completed referrals, helping patients connect more quickly with the care they need.
  • Easier access to visit information: From maps and directions to preparation instructions, Sutter simplified how patients get the info they need — including improved digital wayfinding and one centralized phone number: 800-4SUTTER.
  • Faster feedback and action: With a systemwide Google Review Requesting Program and monthly reports, Sutter leaders can identify and address friction points in near real time.
  • Coordinated, high-quality care: Sutter’s shift to seven physician-led clinical service lines has improved consistency and collaboration across sites, ensuring patients experience seamless, high-quality care no matter where they go.

Among all industries tracked by Reputation — including retail, finance and hospitality — only 0.8% of locations achieved a 900-level score. This distinction reflects more than just satisfaction; it signals a consistent ability to exceed expectations at every step of the patient journey.
