NORTHERN CALIF. — Sutter Health this week held a ribbon cutting for a new Sutter Urgent Care in West Roseville, marking another milestone in the organization’s systemwide urgent care expansion strategy and its ongoing commitment to bringing high-quality care closer to home for communities across the greater Sacramento region.

The new urgent care center, located at 4001 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd. in Roseville, will officially open to patients on Feb. 2. The 5,010-square-foot, two-provider facility expands Sutter Health’s growing urgent care footprint in Placer County, building on the momentum created with the opening of Sutter Urgent Care, Rocklin, in August 2025.

“As Roseville and the surrounding areas continue to grow, our commitment is to grow with them. Placing this urgent care in the heart of emerging neighborhoods was intentional,” said Rachael McKinney, president of Sutter Health’s Greater Sacramento Division. “We want exceptional, accessible care to be part of this community from the start.”

This new Sutter Urgent Care is located between the existing, popular Roseville Galleria shopping district and the growing Baseline Marketplace area anchored by a new Costco, making it a convenient location for area residents to access the care they need.

“Opening an urgent care in West Roseville reflects our shared priority of delivering the right level of care at the right time, in the most appropriate setting,” said Sutter Medical Group President and CEO Dr. Michael Conroy. “It also eases pressure on emergency departments — especially at Sutter Roseville Medical Center — by providing a more appropriate setting for non-emergent needs.”

Designed to meet the everyday healthcare needs of the community, this Sutter Urgent Care includes:

  • Same‑day urgent care services
  • On‑site diagnostic imaging
  • “On My Way” online check‑in through My Health Online, allowing patients to notify the clinic before they arrive

The new location will play an important role in supporting patients and care teams across Placer County, including those at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, by helping patients connect with care options that best align with their needs. This approach allows emergency department clinicians to focus on the most critical cases while enhancing overall care coordination.

The new Sutter Urgent Care in West Roseville represents another significant step in Sutter Health’s ongoing effort to bring care closer to home. The health system is strategically expanding its footprint to make it easier for patients to connect with both primary and specialty care. These new locations are designed to reduce travel times, expand access to essential services and ensure more timely, convenient care for the communities it serves. In the greater Sacramento region, Sutter is expanding access to primary and specialty care in the communities of Roseville, Folsom and Elk Grove. In December, the 70,000-square-foot Sutter Arden Care Center opened near Cal Expo in Sacramento. And the Sutter Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Care Complex is planned for downtown Sacramento.
