“Every day our more than 350 orthopedic specialists deliver safe, equitable, evidence-based, high-quality services throughout our hospitals, providing each individual a patient-centric experience that maximizes their health, well-being and quality of life,” said Keegan Kirby, musculoskeletal service line vice president for Sutter Health. “These recognitions from Healthgrades reflect our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare for every patient we serve, right where they live.”

To identify the top-performing hospitals for outpatient procedures, Healthgrades analyzed patient outcomes at short-term acute care facilities nationwide that offer critical orthopedic procedures in an outpatient environment, including back & neck surgery, knee replacement, hip replacement and rotator cuff surgery. Healthgrades’ analysis found that patients treated at hospitals that have been recognized for excellence or rated five-stars have a demonstrably better chance at a smooth recovery than those treated at hospitals that were not recognized by Healthgrades.

“These Sutter campuses exemplify what it means to be a leader in outpatient orthopedics by delivering consistently superior outcomes across key outpatient procedures,” said Dr. Brad Bowman, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades.
