Marin hospitals stress telemedicine in virus crisis

MarinHealth Medical Center has shifted to distanced care amid the coronavirus crisis to curb the contagion while preserving scarce supplies of protective gear.

The Greenbrae hospital has equipped more than 90 patient rooms, including 10 intensive care beds, with specialized cameras and video screens for doctors and nurses to carry out everyday health care to patients from remote workstations.
