Regional telehealth programs add nursing, specialties as use of technology grows

Nursing and work-from-home options for medical staff are the latest additions to the region’s telemedicine programs, as use of the technology grows.

All four of the Sacramento area’s major health providers— Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health, Sutter Health and the UC Davis Health —have growing, in-house telemedicine programs.

Sutter was the most recent to join the trend when it launched a primary-care appointment system last March.
